I have been in the renovating industry for a few years now and when I started years ago I was mentored by an Italian gentleman that was a “Gordon Ramsay” in Renovations. He taught me to always do a job thinking of the next guy in line and if you see something that you know will be a problem down the track, even if it’s not your job, fix it. Many tradesmen will just do what is asked of them and if they see a problem they won’t care.
Another problem I see is so many time is tradesmen will try and do all the work themselves and they will make mistakes because no one can be great at everything.
Many times I have been asked to go and see a renovation after it has all been done, and I would walk around and I see so many silly mistakes. A professional in each trade will look at a job and know where the problems will arise and make adjustments before he starts.
